Paris-bred, Dario rose through the ranks of the camera department for almost a decade before exploding onto the scene in 2019 as one of France’s top music-video directors: his funny, bold, and singular style caught fire.
Dario’s technical finesse is undeniable, but beneath it all he’s a narrative purist obsessed with three things: story, story, and story. His films cut through the noise because every choice he makes answers to the narrative first.
He recently burst onto the advertising scene as the director and copywriter of CANAL+’s hit film Papa?, which swept the 2023 awards season—including a Cannes Gold Lion, a Cannes Grand Prix, Gold and Silver at Clio, a D&AD Graphite Pencil, and five Golds at the Shots Awards. His 2024 follow-up, Super, kept the trophy train rolling with a Silver Lion and a D&AD Graphite Pencil in the Film category.
